GATE - Economic Theory and Analysis Group

GATE Lyon St Etienne activities come under the fields of theoretical and applied economics. The four main domains of research are: 1) experimental and behavioral economics; 2) game theory, social choice and markets; 3) public policy and economic geography; 4) macroeconomics, finance and history of economic analysis. The institute is affiliated to the CORTEX and the IMU Laboratories of Excellence. It includes more than 100 members. GATE is equipped with a cutting edge experimental platform, GATE-LAB. GATE-LAB is composed of several labs: BehavLab (32 computers for behavioural measures recordings), PhysioLab (14 computers equipped with physiological measure devices), EyetrackLab and rooms used for collective decision making. A mobile experimental lab allows field experimentations. GATE-LAB is headed by Marie Claire Villeval, European Vice President of the Economic Science Association and co-editor of the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization.
